We collect information you provide directly: email address, name (optional), and conversation transcripts from your interview sessions. We also collect usage data (session counts, timestamps) and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited).
We use your data to: (a) provide and improve the Service; (b) authenticate your account; (c) track session usage against your plan limits; (d) send transactional emails (receipts, session summaries); and (e) detect abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
If you use voice features, your microphone input is transcribed in real time using Deepgram and sent to our AI models as text. Audio is not stored. Text transcriptions are stored as part of your conversation history. Voice output is generated via ElevenLabs and not stored after playback.
Your conversation transcripts are stored to enable session history and improve response quality. We may use anonymized, aggregated conversation data to fine-tune models or improve the Service. We do not share individual transcripts with third parties.
We use the following third-party services: AWS (infrastructure and database), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI models), OpenRouter (AI routing), ElevenLabs (voice synthesis), Deepgram (speech recognition), and Cognito (authentication). Each has its own privacy policy.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your plan.
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Conversation transcripts are retained for 90 days by default and then automatically deleted. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent login.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@builderhub.ai or using the in-app account deletion option. We will respond within 30 days.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel. We follow AWS security best practices including IAM roles, VPC isolation, and audit logging.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at privacy@builderhub.ai.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
